Measures 12” x 24”
Mixed media and acrylic
I’ve always felt a deep connection to nature, especially the way light moves through the trees. There’s something about standing beneath the branches and watching the sunlight come through that feels incredibly healing to me. It’s more than just light. I feel the energy of it.
As I worked on this painting, I started thinking of those spaces of light almost as little portals of energy—radiating through the trees, surrounding us and reminding us of our connection to nature.
This piece was created slowly through layers of paint, collage, circles, lines and handwritten words, with some of those layers covered again so that only little pieces remain. I wanted it to feel the way nature feels to me—not just what I see, but the energy I feel when I’m there.
